Real Madrid are reportedly ready to raise significant transfer funds to target the likes of Kylian Mbappe this summer by selling four players for around £140million.
This would likely include big-money sales of Manchester United transfer target Alvaro Morata, as well as in-demand Colombian playmaker James Rodriguez, who has most recently been linked with Paris Saint-Germain.
Real won La Liga and the Champions League in 2016/17 to mark one of their most successful seasons of recent times, but are now ready to make the changes necessary to strengthen even further.
Zinedine Zidane has big plans for his side, and Marca claim that Monaco wonderkid Mbappe remains one of the club’s priorities, along with promising young defender Theo Hernandez.
With Mbappe expected to cost somewhere in the region of £120million, these sales would put Real in a commanding position to beat the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City to the 18-year-old’s signature.
Morata’s departure to United seems likely amid recent speculation over the Spaniard’s future, though there may still be some disagreements over his transfer fee.
Rodriguez has also been linked with Premier League clubs such as Chelsea and Arsenal, so Real’s willingness to cash in on players this summer could prove beneficial to English football for next season.
